Woodsman knot

Nudo del leñadorThe woodcutter knot is also known as timber hitch or knot stirrup. Its name comes from the use that gave loggers to drag the logs on the ground. It is a provisional tie knot that we will use to tie any object, such as logs, packages, boards or carry objects we desire.

We can also use it for rescue, whenever you make to safety.

It is a very useful knot that can be developed quickly and very safe, but should do it properly because otherwise you can loose easily. As the knot is subject to high voltage, the stronger will knot despite still keep the same easy to undo. This knot also can use to start moorings more complicated, such as lashing diagonally or square.
